254. KrishNa returns home with his friends after grazing. Umbrellas made of peacock feathers (tazhai) and palm leaves (tongal) are seen. Musical instruments like mRudangam (tannumai), a long-tubed trumpet (ekkam, tiruchinnam), another kind of drum (mattali) are heard. Leading them is KrishNa playing his flute decorated with a peacock feather that hangs in the end. The scene looks like a large advancing rain cloud. Some gopikAs peep out of their windows, some wait at their doors, hearts craving for him, they even forget their dinner. (1)

266. When the wide kohl eyed coy gopikas and the Gopas came running and surrendered at His feet, KaNNan, who holds a Chakra on His hand held the great mountain GOVARDHANA. This victorious mountain umbrella is house to the strong muscular shouldered tribal people who refer to their girls, who have come to live with them, as the deer group which grazes the fields. Thus proudly teasing, they bend their bows to proceed with their hunting. (3)

This victorious GOVARDHANA mountain houses a strong happy wild elephant which raises its trunk towards the crescent moon in the sky thinking that to be the part of its tusker which got broken. (5)

This victorious mountain expands everywhere. It's beautiful waterfalls shine like strings of gems and pearls, and appear like a coat for KrishNa (kuppAyam - coat or a cloak). (6)

She called for rAma and said, "Hey dear son of this dynasty [kula kumArA], leave for the forest on an exile". RAma left for the forest [ danDakAranya] with LakshmaNa. This is one more proof [Or aDayALam]. (3)

You stayed in ChitrakooTam covered with mountain slopes, beautiful groves and swarming bees. At that time, the good natured Bharata [bharata nambi] fell at the feet of RAma to return to ayOdhyA. Isn't this a proof? [Or aDayALam]. (5)

The scared crow ran to all worlds asking for help but it was futile. He came back and fell at the feet of RAma saying, "Oh Clever One! [vittaganE iramAvO]! You are my refuge [nin ubhayam]. Being an astram, it pricked one eye of the crow. This is one more proof. [Or aDayALam] (6)

Later hearing Rama calling, thinking his dear brother was in trouble, LakshmaNa left you alone and went in search of RAma. This is a proof again [Or aDayALam]. (7)

Hence I could narrate some of them to you. See! I have the Lord’s finger ring. Hanuman gives the ring to SeetA. (8)

She tells Hanuman, 'This is a marvellous sign. [okkumAl aDayALam]’. Saying this she places the ring on her head with respect. (9)

Those who recite these pAsurams will stay with the nityasooris [imayavarODu] in SrivaikunTham. (10)
