அண்ணிக்கும் அமுதூறும் என் நாவுக்கே!

It is our great blessing that we have been chosen to be a shisya of by our AchArya, after which we find enjoyment in taking his names again and again, rather than talking other things.
2. (PASURAM 2)
நாவினால் நவிற்றி இன்பம் எய்தினேன்!
nAvinAl naviRRi inbam eydinEn !
We experience bliss because of singing divya prabandhams.

தேவபிரானுடை கரியகோலம் திரு-உருக்காண்பன்-நான்…..ஆடியேன் பெற்ற நன்மையே!

By reciting AzhvAr’s aruLi cheyal and reading the explanations, we are able to virtually visualize the divya dampatis.

Once we surrender at AchAryan’s feet doing prapatti, he so naturally assumes the responsibility of a father, mother and a master and protects us.

AchArya sambandham brings a transformation in us. We begin to divert our minds from material pleasures towards spiritual bliss.

Once we begin our journey as a prapanna, the constant touch with our AchArya and his aDiyArs guide us from retracting back on our journey.

பண்டை வல்வினை பாற்றி அருளினான்

On seeking an Acharyan, all the past accumulated sins (sanchita karmas) will be destroyed.

அடியவர் இன்புற அறுளினான் அவ்வருமறையின்பொறுள், ஆயிரம் இன்தமிழ் பாடினான்!

To aid devotees ascend the spiritual plane, our Acharyas compose sooktis for vEdas and divya prabandhams, out of compassion and help us understand the real knowledge.

Our AchAryas put in voluminous efforts by giving upanyAsams relentlessly, so that we can always understand the meanings of the vEdas well and remember the kalyANa guNas of the divya dampatis at all times.

பயனன்றாகிலும் பாங்கல்லராகிலும் செயல் நன்றாகத் திருத்திபணிக்கொள்வான்!
payananRAgilum pAngallarAgilum cheyal nanRAgat tiruttipaNikkoLvAn.
Even though our Acharyan does not gain anything by taming us, even though we are full of mistakes and so difficult to be tamed, he is compassionate enough to correct us by himself following all the anuShThanas and demonstrating to us the right way of living.

மதுரகவி சொன்னசொல் நம்புவார்பதி வைகுந்தம் காண்மின
KaNNan is nammAzhvAr’s AchAryan, nammAzhvAr is madhurakavi’s Acharyan. And madhurakavi is our AchAryan. Those who believe in this concept of guruparampara will reach vaikunTHam.
