TIRUNANGUR 11 GARUDA SEVAI
The tirunAngoor 11 garuDa sEvai or EkAdasha garuDa sEvai is a spectacular event conducted every year in tirunAngoor maNimADa kovil. It is also called ‘tirumangai AzhvAr mangalAshAsanam utsavam”. This is a 3-day festival where devotees can worship all the 11 tirunAngoor utsava moortis on GaruDa vAhanam, in one place.
FIRST DAY UTSAVAM (tai amAvAsya)
1. PurappADu from Tirunagari
On tai amAvAsya, the utsava vigrahams of tirumangai Azhvar and his wife, kumudavalli nAchchiyAr are taken in a decorated palanquin from tirunagari.

2. Manjakuli Utsavam
The couple take a dip in the KAveri river. Then they are given the holy bath with turmeric paste in the tiru kAvEri manjakuLi mandapam. This practice was started by Lord RanganAtha himself. After AzhvAr conducted the adhyayana utsavam successfully, Rangan ordered that AzhvAr be honoured with the manjal choorNAbhishEkam to soothe his body. From Azhvar’s times, the manja kuLi utsavam is practised till date.

3. Tirunaraiyoor, Tiruvarangam mangalAshAsanam.
AzhvAr then worships his first AchAryan, tirunaraiyoor nambi perumAL who consecrated him with samAshrayaNam. Then mangalAshAsanam to Srirangam perumAL is performed.
4. Divya Desha PurappADu
Then, the couple first visit tirukkuraiyaloor, the birth place of tirumangai AzhvAr. Then they visit tirumangai maDam, the place where AzhvAr offered tadeeyAraAdhanam to 1008 shree vaishNavas every day. After tirumanjanam they visit 6 tirunAngoor divya dEshams which are all in 10 to 12 kms distance.
SECOND DAY UTSAVAM
MORNING - 11 UTSAVA MOORTHY MANGALASHASANAM
After tiruppAvai sARRumurai in the morning, all utsava moortis of 11 divya dEshams arrive at the pandal in in front of ‘tirumaNimADa kOvil’, tirunAngoor. AzhvAr performs managalAshAsanam to them in the following order. Tirumangai AzhvAr has devoted 11 decads of pAsurams exclusively for TirunAngoor DivyadEsams, covered in Periya Tirumozhi 3 and Periya Tirumozhi 4.

2. tiru arimEya viNNagaram (kuDamAdum koottan, amRutakaDavalli)
3. tiru semponsey kOyil (sempon arangar, suveda pushpavalli)
4. tiru teRRiyambalam (sengkaNmAl, sengkamalavalli)
5. tiru veLLakuLam annan koil (sreenivAsan, padmAvati)
6. tiru vaNpurushOttaman (purushOttaman, purushOttama nAyaki)
7. tiru maNikkooDam (varadarAjan, maNikkooDa nAyakan, tirumagal nAchchiyAr)
8. tiru vaikuNTha viNNagaram (vaikuNThanAthan, vaikuNThavalli)
9. tiru dEvanAr togai (mAdhava perumAl, dEvanAyagan, Samudra tanayA)
10. tiru pArthanpaLLi (parthasArathy, tamaraiyAL kElvan, tAmarai nAyaki)
11. tiru kAvalampADi (gopAlakrishnan, sengamala nAchchiyAr)
Then, Shree maNavALamAmunigal from vanpurushOttaman kOvil peforms mangaLAshAsanam to tirumangai AzhvAr.
EVENING – GARUDA SEVAI
In the evening around 10 p.m, all the 11 deities are ready with alankAram in GaruDa vAhanam. Tirumangai AzhvAr and kumudavalli nAchchiyAr attend the GaruDa sEvai in Hamsa vAhanam. A grand procession and related festivities ensue in the evening.
THIRD DAY- BACK TO TIRUNAGARI
After tirumanjanam and tiruppAvai sARRumurai, AzhvAr starts his return journey back to tirunagari. On his way, he visits tiruveLLakuLam, the birth place of kumudavalli nAchchiyAr. He then visits tiru dEvanAr togai and tiruvAli.
Finally, around midnight, AzhvAr reaches tirunagari. He is received by vayalAli maNavALan on garuDa sEvai. AzhvAr performs mangaLAshAsanam and reaches his AsthAna peeTam.
With this, the grand and sublime three-day tai tirumangai AzhvAr mangaLAshAsana garuDa sEvai utsavam is concluded.
