செய்ய துலா ஓணத்தில் செகத்துதித்தான் வாழியே
திருக்கச்சி மானகரம் செழிக்க வந்தோன் வாழியே
வையந்தகளி நூறும் வகுத்துரைத்தான் வாழியே
வனசமலர்க் கருவதனில் ~வந்தமைன்தான் வாழியே
வெய்ய கதிரோன் தன்னை விளக்கிட்டான் வாழியே
வேங்கடவர் திருமலையை விரும்புமவன் வாழியே
பொய்கை முனி வடிவழகும் பொற்பதமும் வாழியே
பொன்முடியும் திருமுகமும் பூதலத்தில் வாழியே

May glory be to Poygai AzhvAr's tirumEni (divine form) and tiruvaDis (divine feet).

அருண்மிகுத்த ஒருவடிவாய்க் கச்சி தன்னில்
ஐப்பசி மாதத் திருவோணத்து நாளில்
பொருள்மிகுத்த மறைவிளங்கப் புவியோர் உய்யப்
பொய்கைதனில் வந்துதித்த புனிதா முன்னாள்
இருளதனில் தண்கோவலிடைகழிச் சென்று
இருவருடன் நிற்கவும் மாலிடை நெருக்கத்
திருவிளக்காம் என வையன்தகளி நூறும்
செழும்பொருளா எனக்கருள் செய் திருந்த நீயே.

Poygai AzhvAr was born with a divine form in kAncheepuram in the month of aippasi on tirvONam nakshatra. To uplift the people of the world, He composed paasurams that explain the meaning of the powerful vEdas. He was the pure one who incarnated inside the lotus flower in a pond. When He stood along with the other two AzhvArs in the narrow passage on a dark rainy night, TirukOvaloor perumAL entered amidst them and squeezed them, showing His resplendent form. Poygai AzhvAr immediately composed 'vaiyam tagaliyA' prabandham. I seek the blessings of Poygai AzhvAr so that the hundred mudal tiruvandAdi paasurams are well established in my mind.
